Something old, something new...an update This past winter, much effort went into developing some new glazes. Progress was made with blue and turquoise. The yellows still need work and my desire for a soft, opaque, semi gloss white is still unrequited. A little help from Uncle Sam helped me to acquire a new kiln. The old one was almost as ancient as me and even slower! The new kiln fires much faster but this seems to affect some glaze results. Still trying to puzzle that out!

A visit to our friends Merle and Robin in the Catskills last year reacquainted me with a pot I had made many moons ago. It has spurred a number of "new" shapes. Some of these new shapes and glazes are illustrated in the slide show below. Point cursor at image, click on square to maximize and use arrows to scroll through. Reverse to exit.
